Execution Error while running MARKALS

  NETZERO.zip (Size: 11.62 KB / Downloads: 4) I am getting an execution error while running MARKALS. It is showing a division by zero error with a line number specified with it. How do I find the error or locate the line number specified? I am attaching an LST file with this post. Kindly check.

Hi Saika,

MARKAL, wow. MARKAL has not been actively supported for more than 20 years. Having said that, such an error usually happens because EFF=0 for come technologies. Perhaps that bit of advice will help you to find those demand devices causing the problem.

I would strongly encourage you to have a look at TIMES, the evolutionary successor. to MARKAL. It is a much more robust energy modeling system.

Its still not working for me. Also I wanted to know how can we interpret LISTING and LOG Files. Is there anyone who can guide us ?

A team who used to work on this model have left. I have a colleague who is using this model since February and I have recently joined.

Yes I have and we are not able to locate where the error has occured. What does the line number signify associated with division by zero error.

looking into the LST the problem seems to be with the DMD_OUT missing for some DMD or 0. No way to find out the troublemaker for sure without having the model. If you want to ZIP it up I'll did into it a bit deeper.
