I have a question related to the definition of demand commodities (COM, DEM) in Answer -TIMES.
What determine if you should use Annual Time Slice Level or Day- Night Time Slice Level in the Additional Characterization in the Set Membership and Units?
We have a multi regional model, in Answer-TIMES, with 52 X 5 time slices. I get slightly different results if I use Annual or if I use Day- Night in the demand commodities. Most demands are defined by seasonal distribution (COM_FR) while some demands are given in annual distribution only. Should the commodity be by Day_Night when a seasonal distribution is given?
In the model we have defined the imp/exp processes (IRE) and the electric generation processes (ELE) as Day-Night.
All answers and comments are appreciated. Do you know where this is clearly explained in the TIMES or the ANSWER-TIMES documentation?
Thanks
